As a user you can decide which of your profile data you want to share for the right reward. For example, you can share demographic information and information about interests and hobbies, but not your address. As a BitsaboutMe user, you can decide yourself whom you grant access to your data and for what purposes.

Based on your sharing preferences, you will receive offers for data deals from companies and other institutions. We will start slowly with a small number of deals and then add more when we gained some experience. If you accept a deal, the company that wants to use your data can access it in a controlled environment – and rewards you in return.

According to the survey we conducted this summer, about 80% of the users surveyed expect money for their personal data. Therefore, we provide on our platform a chash pay-out option from day one. This allows you – with just one click – to transfer your earnings directly to your bank account.
Good to know: the participation on the marketplace is not required! You can decide at any time whether you want to activate the marketplace or simply continue using the Personal Data Store (PDS). For us, you as a user and your data sovereignty always comes first.
